With result and admission season, Delhi University is flooded with queries
from confused students. To help these students, the university has come up with a Facebook page. This page is dedicated to students and a special email id has been provided to reach the Vice Chancellor. Apart from this, the university has also provided telephonic helplines facility for aspirants. The University is witnessing sale of forms from 25th May beginning for St Stephens College. The sale of information bulletin will begin from May 28.
Last year, Delhi University decided to do away with the pre-admission forms and asked students to directly reach the colleges after the cut-off marks are announced. The decision was taken by the university as students appeared confused despite the media carrying detailed information of the new admission policy. The university said that it is facing a huge number of queries from students regarding pre-admission forms.
According to senior university authority, telephonic help lines for students have started functioning and the Delhi University Facebook facility will be made available to students from next week. It was also told that students can post their problems on vcforstudents@du.ac.in. This was a special email id, which was exclusively created so as to enable students to reach the Vice Chancellor directly.
The telephone helplines are active and a group of over 20 student volunteers are helping the Dean Student Welfare office in answering queries. In addition to this, Delhi University Facebook Facility also includes help from ''web chats'' with experts through the University's official website.
